We understand that there are times when a basic pair of glasses are the most suitable option. Whether it is so you can have reading glasses at home and at work, an inexpensive spare pair in case of emergency, or if you are simply on a budget, we have a quality option to suit you.

The Carlisle Mason Value range of lenses includes the following:

• Single Vision Lenses
• Bifocal lenses
• Progressive lenses

Single Vision Lenses - Included in the price of all of our frames

These lenses come with a scratch resistant coating, and are available for most glasses prescriptions

Bifocal Lenses - from $200 per pair

Bifocal lenses have two lens powers-the large upper part of the lens is for distance vision and a smaller portion of the lens is reserved for near-vision correction. Bifocals are a great option if you require different prescriptions for distance vision and near vision, or even if you only need a prescription for near vision because they allow you to change from distance viewing to reading without having to change glasses. Bifocal lenses are easily identified by a visible line running between the two lens powers.

Progressive Lenses - from $250 per pair

Progressive lenses are the modern alternative to Bifocal lenses. Instead of providing just distance and near focus like bifocals, Progressive lenses provide a smooth, seamless progression of many lens powers for clear vision in the distance, up close and all distances in between.

Progressive lenses have no visible lines or markings and so are more cosmetically appealing than Bifocal lenses also.

But beware - not all Progressives are equal. Ask your Optometrist which design is best for you.
